In this letter, Wheatley mentions three of his books.
It is pasted by a corner into a first edition of 'Sixty Days to Live' which the author sent to the recipient after the war.
16th. Dec 1946
Dear Mr Downing,

I trust that you will have received your copy of 'Come into My Parlour' back by this, as I sent it off at once rather than wait until I had time to reply to your letter.

About the books of mine you enquire for.  I am happy to be able to send you a copy of 'Sixty Days to Live', as I have a few first editions by me, and shall be glad if you will accept it as a small contribution from an author to a very faithfull reader.

Regarding 'The Black Baroness' I fear that I cannot help you; but Hutchinsons did a reprint last year so they might have a 5/- copy left.

I rather doubt it though as during the war all my books went out of print, and hardly any of them have been reprinted in quantity owing to the paper shortage.

In the meantime all the very best to you and yours for Christmas and 1947.

Yours very sincerely

Dennis Wheatley
